Abstract
UNC — the "Honest Human Chain" — is a mobile-first, human-verified cryptocurrency network built on a sovereign Substrate-based blockchain. Users participate in daily proof-of-liveness sessions that confirm a real person is active, earning pending UNC balances that convert 1:1 to on-chain UNC at mainnet launch.
UNC is not computational mining and we state this plainly. The network is secured by proof-of-personhood via lightweight eKYC and a Trust Circle web-of-trust — one real human, one identity. Transactions are feeless and near-instant on UNC's own sovereign chain.
UNC solves four fundamental problems in cryptocurrency today: bot-dominated networks, seed phrase risk, insider enrichment through hidden allocations, and high barriers to entry. By combining radical honesty with provable fairness, UNC aims to build the largest network of verified real humans in crypto.
Pre-mainnet UNC are pending balances. They may have no monetary value until mainnet. This is not financial or investment advice.
1. Introduction
Most cryptocurrency projects are built on hype — anonymous teams, inflated coinomics, and promises of revolutionary technology designed primarily to enrich early insiders. UNC is built on a different foundation: radical honesty.
UNC's core belief is that a network of verified, real humans is worth more than a network of anonymous wallets and bots. Before any blockchain is live, the most valuable thing a project can build is trust — a community of real people who understand exactly what they are participating in.
The daily check-in is an engagement and proof-of-liveness ritual that confirms a real person is active. It is not computational mining, and we will never claim otherwise. Pre-mainnet coins earned through liveness sessions are pending allocations that convert 1:1 to real UNC at mainnet genesis.
What makes UNC different:
• Radical honesty about what UNC is and is not — stated plainly, not buried in footnotes.
• Proof of personhood via eKYC and Trust Circle — one real human, one identity, no bots.
• Provable fairness — public team and treasury wallets with on-chain vesting enforced from block 0.
• Seed-phrase-free security — account recovery through your Trust Circle, not a 12-word phrase.
• Feeless, near-instant transfers on a sovereign Substrate chain owned by no single entity.
• Loyalty earned by using UNC, not by speculating on it.
2. Problem Statement
Despite growing mainstream interest in cryptocurrency, several deep structural problems limit real-world adoption:
• Bot-Dominated Networks
Most "mobile mining" apps have no real identity verification. Bots and multi-account farming drain the supply meant for genuine humans, making the network worthless for the people it claims to serve.
• Seed Phrase Risk
Billions of dollars in crypto have been lost because ordinary users cannot safely store 12-word recovery phrases. This is a fundamental UX failure that excludes the majority of the world's population from participating.
• Hidden Insider Allocations
Large, undisclosed team and VC allocations with no on-chain enforcement allow insiders to sell into retail demand. Most projects never publish their wallet addresses. There is no way to verify their claims.
• Misleading Mining Claims
Projects call daily check-in apps "mining" to benefit from the association with Bitcoin, without being honest that no computational work is being done. This erodes trust and invites regulatory scrutiny.
• High Barriers to Entry
Real blockchain participation requires technical knowledge, expensive hardware, or significant capital — excluding billions of potential users who have only a smartphone.
• Lack of Real Utility
Many coins are distributed with no clear use case, governance rights, or connection to a real product, leaving holders with nothing but speculation.
• Slow Transactions and High Fees
Established chains like Bitcoin and Ethereum suffer from congestion, slow confirmations, and fees that make everyday payments impractical.
3. The UNC Solution
UNC addresses each problem directly with specific, verifiable mechanisms:
• Proof of Personhood (Sybil Resistance)
Every UNC account requires lightweight eKYC — a government-issued ID and liveness selfie. One person cannot hold two verified accounts. Attempts are flagged and result in suspension. A Trust Circle web-of-trust provides a second layer of human identity assurance.
• Trust Circle Account Recovery
If a user loses access to their device, a threshold of their Trust Circle contacts can collectively authorize account recovery. This replaces the fragile seed-phrase model with a human-centered alternative that anyone can use safely.
• On-Chain Vesting Enforcement
All team, founder, and treasury wallet addresses are public from day one. Vesting is enforced natively on-chain via Substrate's pallet-vesting from block 0 — not a promise, a cryptographic fact anyone can verify.
• Honest Proof-of-Liveness
The daily session is described plainly as a liveness ritual. It is not computational work. We will never pretend otherwise.
• Sovereign Substrate Chain
UNC runs on its own Substrate-based blockchain — not a token on Ethereum, Solana, or any other network. This gives full control over fees (zero for UNC transfers), transaction speed (~2-second finality), and governance.
• Feeless Transfers
UNC-to-UNC transfers are feeless on the native chain, making the coin practical for everyday payments and micropayments from day one of mainnet.
• Mobile-First Accessibility
Participation requires only a smartphone and takes seconds per day. No mining hardware, no technical knowledge, no capital required to start.
4. Proof of Personhood
UNC's core technical innovation is making Sybil resistance practical, usable, and accessible on mobile.
eKYC Verification:
Users submit a government-issued ID and complete a liveness check. A verified status is recorded on-chain. One real person = one verified account. Duplicate attempts trigger an automated review and suspension of all linked accounts.
Trust Circle (Web of Trust):
Each verified user builds a Trust Circle of 3–5 real contacts they personally know and have verified. This creates a human layer of identity assurance — if your account is flagged or suspended, your Trust Circle can attest to your identity.
Seed-Phrase-Free Recovery:
When a user loses device access, a threshold signature from their Trust Circle contacts authorizes account recovery without any seed phrase. This is the most important UX innovation in UNC — it makes self-custody accessible to people who would otherwise lose their funds.
Proof-of-Liveness Sessions:
The daily check-in confirms that a real, verified human is still actively using their account. It is not computational mining. Pre-mainnet balances earned through liveness sessions are pending allocations — they convert 1:1 to on-chain UNC at mainnet genesis.
Anti-Sybil Measures:
• Device fingerprinting and behavioral analysis detect bot patterns.
• Suspicious activity (multiple accounts, scripted check-ins) triggers review.
• KYC documents are verified by a third-party provider and not shared beyond identity confirmation.
• Trust Circle attestations provide a second layer of human verification.
5. Coinomics
Ticker: UNC
Maximum Supply: 100,000,000,000 (100 billion) — fixed, no inflation after mainnet genesis.
Decimals: 8
Blockchain: Sovereign Substrate chain (not a token on another network)
Coin Distribution:
Community Mining & Contribution — 40% (40,000,000,000 UNC)
Earned by verified humans through daily proof-of-liveness sessions and network contribution. Every mining reward and group bonus is paid out of this account.
Foundation & Treasury — 20% (20,000,000,000 UNC)
Held in a public wallet. Releases follow schedules approved by coin holder governance. Used for network operations and long-term sustainability.
Ecosystem, Liquidity & Partners — 15% (15,000,000,000 UNC)
Hackathon prizes, grants, mission and staking rewards, exchange liquidity and strategic partnerships.
Founder & Team — 12% (12,000,000,000 UNC)
12-month cliff, then 36-month linear vesting. Nothing can leave this account before the cliff — enforced today, and on-chain via pallet-vesting at mainnet. The wallet is public.
Early Supporters & Airdrop — 8% (8,000,000,000 UNC)
Airdrops to early community members and verified pre-mainnet participants, loyalty-weighted and Sybil-filtered.
Reserve — 5% (5,000,000,000 UNC)
Held for unforeseen operational needs, regulatory requirements, or emergency network measures, with full community oversight.
All allocations, locks, and vesting schedules are enforced natively on-chain from block 0 and publicly verifiable. There are no hidden wallets.
Where UNC comes from — live
Every UNC sits in one of these six public accounts until it is paid out. Mining rewards come out of Community Mining; hackathon prizes and grants out of Ecosystem. Anyone can check them at any time — nothing can be moved from this page.

6. Mining Rate & Utility
Mining Rate System:
How a rate is calculated: Paid rate = (Base rate + Verified referral bonus) × Streak × Event × Circle. The app shows this breakdown for every account — tap your rate on the mining screen — and it is the same calculation that pays each session.
Sessions: One session per 24 hours. Tap Start; the app does not need to stay open. When the session ends, everything it earned is credited to the wallet automatically. The rate is fixed when a session starts — changes during a session (a referral starting to mine, a new streak day) count from the next one.
Base Rate: 0.06 UNC per hour for every member — 1.44 UNC per 24-hour session.
Referral Bonus: Only referrals mining at the moment your session starts count; sign-ups who are not mining add nothing. Active referrals fill tiers, and each tier adds +0.05 UNC/hr shared over the places in that tier — so each referral mining in a tier earns you one place's share, and a tier pays its full amount once every place is filled:
• 1–9 active: +0.005556 per referral (9 places)
• 10–29 active: +0.0025 per referral (20 places)
• 30–59 active: +0.001667 per referral (30 places)
• 60–99 active: +0.00125 per referral (40 places)
• 100–299 active: +0.00025 per referral (200 places)
• 300–599 active: +0.000167 per referral (300 places)
• 600–999 active: +0.000125 per referral (400 places)
• 1,000+: +0.05 as a whole tier
With every tier full the rate before multipliers is 0.46 UNC/hr.
KYC — Paid or Held: A referral's share is paid only once that referral has passed KYC (identity verification); signing in with Google or Apple is not KYC. The share of unverified referrals is held: it is not in the wallet and cannot be spent or sent. It never expires — the moment a referral passes KYC, everything held for them is credited in one payment. Unverified referrals still count towards filling a tier; only their share is held.
Streak Multiplier: Mining on consecutive days multiplies the whole rate — 1–2 days ×1.00, 3–6 days ×1.25, 7–13 ×1.50, 14–29 ×1.75, 30+ ×2.00. Missing a day resets the streak to 1.
Events and Circles: Seasonal events multiply everyone's rate while they run. A mining circle adds 5% for each member beyond the first, up to 10 members (×1.45).
Worked Example: 4 referrals mining in the first tier, 3 of them verified, on a 7-day streak. Tier share earned 4 × 0.005556 = 0.022222; paid for the 3 verified = 0.016667; held for the unverified one = 0.005556. Subtotal 0.06 + 0.016667 = 0.076667, × 1.50 streak = 0.115 UNC/hr, or 2.76 UNC per session.
All figures above are read live from the network.
Rates are set by UNC and may change; the app's Mining rewards page always shows the values in force. Social-connection boosts are currently paused.
Coin Utility:
• Peer-to-Peer Payments: UNC is used as a medium of exchange for feeless, near-instant transfers on the native chain — making everyday payments practical.
• Mining Rewards: Users earn UNC through daily proof-of-liveness sessions, incentivizing real human participation and growing the verified network.
• Governance Voting: UNC holders vote on network upgrades, treasury spending, parameter changes, and ecosystem decisions through on-chain governance.
• Wallet Security: UNC is used to secure wallet operations including PIN-protected transfers and Trust Circle recovery attestations.
• Ecosystem Access: UNC will be used for future in-app services, merchant integrations, and partner ecosystem features as the network grows post-mainnet.
7. Governance
UNC uses a progressive decentralization model — starting with transparent foundation-led decisions and transitioning to full on-chain coin holder governance as the network matures.
Phase 1 — Foundation Governance (Pre-Mainnet):
The UNC Foundation sets network parameters (mining rates, KYC rules, rate tiers, partnerships) with full public transparency. All decisions are published with reasoning and community input is actively sought.
Phase 2 — Coin Holder Voting (Post-Mainnet):
UNC holders vote on proposals using on-chain governance (Substrate democracy pallet). Proposals require a minimum participation threshold to pass. Voting power is proportional to verified UNC holdings.
Governance scope includes:
• Network parameter changes (fees, session duration, rate tier thresholds)
• Treasury spending approvals and grant allocations
• Protocol upgrades and runtime migrations
• New exchange listings and major partnerships
• Changes to vesting or allocation schedules (supermajority required)
Transparency commitments:
• All team and treasury wallet addresses are public from day one.
• All vesting is enforced on-chain — not a promise.
• Every governance vote and result is recorded permanently on-chain.
• Foundation financials are published quarterly.
• No private deals, no undisclosed coin sales.
8. Security & Risk
On-Chain Security:
• Substrate's battle-tested runtime with audited pallets for transfers, vesting, and governance.
• On-chain vesting enforcement — team and founder allocations cannot be unlocked early by any party.
• Public treasury and team wallets — the community can monitor every movement in real time.
• Independent security audit planned before mainnet genesis.
Application Security:
• Wallet PINs are hashed server-side using bcrypt — never stored in plaintext.
• All data encrypted in transit via TLS 1.3.
• KYC documents are access-restricted and processed by a certified third-party provider.
• Two-factor authentication (TOTP) available for all accounts.
• Biometric login (Face ID, fingerprint) supported on iOS and Android.
• QR-code-based wallet address scanning to prevent manual entry errors on transfers.
Sybil Resistance:
• eKYC prevents duplicate accounts at the identity verification layer.
• Trust Circle provides a human attestation layer.
• Device fingerprinting and behavioral analysis detect automated bot activity.
• Suspicious patterns trigger account review and potential suspension.
Known Risks and Honest Disclosures:
• Pre-mainnet UNC balances are pending allocations with no guaranteed monetary value.
• The mainnet launch timeline may change based on technical, legal, or market conditions.
• Regulatory treatment of UNC varies by jurisdiction. Users are responsible for local compliance.
• As with all early-stage blockchain projects, there is execution risk.
• Exchange listings are not guaranteed and depend on market conditions.
This project is in an early stage. Do not participate with funds you cannot afford to lose.

10. Conclusion & Legal
UNC is not trying to be the next Bitcoin or Ethereum. It is trying to be something rarer in this industry: an honest project.
The daily check-in is not computational mining — we say so plainly. Pre-mainnet balances may have no monetary value — we say so plainly. The team allocation is locked on-chain and the wallet is public — you can verify it yourself from block 0. There are no hidden deals, no undisclosed insider sales, no fake promises.
What UNC is building:
• The largest network of real, verified humans in cryptocurrency — one identity per person, enforced.
• A feeless, fast sovereign blockchain that makes everyday digital payments practical.
• A seed-phrase-free custody model that ordinary people can actually use safely.
• A fair coin distribution where 40% is earned by the community, and every allocation is public.
• Governance that progressively transfers power from the foundation to verified coin holders.
We believe that in a space full of noise, radical honesty is the most differentiated thing a project can offer. If that resonates with you, we invite you to join us.
