What a mining session is

The one concept worth understanding before you start

Traditional mining runs a calculation on your hardware around the clock, which is why it needs dedicated machines and a great deal of electricity. UNC does not do that on your phone.

Instead, tapping Mine opens a session — a 24-hour window during which UNC accrues to your balance at your hourly rate. The work happens on the network, not on your handset, so your battery and your data allowance are left alone.

Sessions are also what make consistency matter. Starting one each day builds a streak, and streaks multiply your rate. Miss a day and the streak resets, but your balance and your referral tiers stay exactly where they were.

Questions people ask before starting

What actually happens when I tap Mine?

You open a mining session that runs for 24 hours. UNC accrues to your balance at your current hourly rate for the length of that session. When it ends you start another one, which is what keeps a daily streak alive.

Do I have to keep the app open?

No. Once a session is running it continues whether the app is open, backgrounded or closed, and whether or not your phone has signal. You only need to open the app to start the next session.

What is my mining rate?

Every verified miner starts at 0.25 UNC per hour. Referral tiers add up to 0.40 UNC per hour on top, and daily streaks and seasonal events apply further multipliers.

When can I withdraw what I have mined?

Withdrawals open when the UNC chain reaches mainnet. Until then, daily sessions credit your balance automatically and there is nothing to claim manually.

Is there anything to pay?

No. The app is free, mining is free, and there is no hardware to buy or electricity cost to cover.
